Stonington, CT is the location of the wedding. The Wadwanuck Club (venue) is in the Stonington Borough, which is a quaint, sleepy historic village.
Mystic, CT is one town over from Stonington. There are two main hubs- Downtown Mystic & The Olde Mistick Village/Aquarium Area. Downtown Mystic sits on the Mystic River and is lively, has boutique hotels & a fun nightlife. The Olde Mistick Village/Aquarium area is more of a tourist hub, with chain hotels.
Our room block at The Whaler's Inn includes a mix of King Bed & 2x Queen Bed rooms. The Whaler's Inn has a 2-night minimum.

The Hilton is located in the Olde Mistick Village/Aquarium area of Mystic, CT. It is one of the wedding shuttle pick up/drop off locations.
The Steamboat Inn is located in the heart of Downtown Mystic, right off the drawbridge. Please note, it's on the West Side of the bridge, meaning you will need to occasionally wait for the bridge to raise and lower for boats, to cross to the East Side (where the venue is).
Steamboat is a short walk to the Whaler's Inn wedding shuttle pick up/drop off.
If you are looking for a more affordable option, Taber Inn may be a good option for you! Taber Inn is halfway between downtown Mystic & the wedding venue in Stonington. It's within walking distance from a few restaurants & coffee shops.
Taber Inne is 0.8 miles from the Whaler's Inn shuttle pick up/drop off location.
If you would like to do a rental house (e.g. Airbnb or VRBO), we would recommend looking in the below areas:
Stonington Borough - Location of the wedding venue. Any rental within walking distance to Stonington Borough would be ideal, since you can walk to the venue and would be close to a number of restaurants & bars. However, please note, you will need a rental car or Uber/Lyft to get to Stonington Borough from any nearby train station, as none are walkable.
Mystic - We recommend staying within walking distance to Downtown Mystic, especially if you do not plan to rent a car. The Mystic Train station is close by & so is the wedding shuttle pick up location.
Direct flights available from most major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles.
If renting a car, it's approx. 90 min drive from Logan Airport to Stonington/Mystic, however the drive can be trafficky during rush hour.
If you are not renting a car, you can take an Uber to South Station and take an Amtrak to the Mystic Station (see below). Our family usually prefers this option as the train ride typically only takes 75 min.
The Mystic Train Station is within walking distance of The Whalers Inn & Downtown Mystic. If you will not have access to a car, this option is highly recommended due to it's proximity to Stonington & Mystic.
PVD is only 45 minutes from Stonington/Mystic. Traffic generally not an issue.
If flying from Los Angeles, please note, there are no direct flights to PVD.
BDL is located just outside of Hartford, about 75 min from Stonington/Mystic. Traffic generally not an issue.
If traveling from Los Angeles, please note, there are direct flights, but they are limited in frequency.
It's about a 15-20 min drive from the New London Station to Stonington/Mystic.
For guests coming from NYC, Amtrak has service to New London from Penn Station (approx 2.5 hour ride).
It's about a 15-20 min drive from Westerly Train Station to Stonington/Mystic
Westerly Train Station is accessible via Amtrak, but has a limited schedule and is only an option for southbound arrivals. Please note, the Westerly Train Station is drop off/pickup only (no interior space or ticket office).
